About the books
"The Best Small Business Accounts Books" are designed and written by
Peter Hingston with assistance from Stuart Ramdsen FCA.
A graduate engineer, Peter set up a small electronics manufacturing business,
has run a city centre shop, a national trade magazine and a book publishing business. He has always done his own bookkeeping which he enjoys.
Peter is author of the highly acclaimed book on starting a business, "The
Great Little Business Book", and overall Hingston Publishing has sold over 500,000 specialist business books since 1985.
Both versions of the "The Best Small Business Accounts Book" are supplied
through WH Smith, Ryman the Stationers and book suppliers, Gardners Books.
They are the only books recommended by the BBC video "Accounting for the
Terrified" and have become popular for their straightforward approach.
With permission, Tamarisk designed Figures and Sums to meet the specifications
drawn up by Peter Hingston, who tested early versions of the software along with end users who previously used the books for their bookkeeping.
